Military World War II MMO game War Thunder's Ground Forces expansion has just entered its PC closed beta, announced developer Gaijin Entertainment.

The expansion marks the next era in War Thunder's evolution toward providing gamers a complete WWII military experience. If the original War Thunder had you involved in breath-taking aerial battles, Ground Forces will take fighting to the ground.

Players will experience intense gameplay and highly explosive battles using armored vehicles, as is showcased in the expansions' official trailer.

“Our ultimate goal is to have hundreds of thousands of individual games made up of dozens of players who can experience intense battles where they come from the skies, the land and eventually from the sea. The launch of Ground Forces Expansion closed beta is another step towards that goal,” said Anton Yudintsev, CEO of Gaijin Entertainment.

The developer provides players with the option to purchase exclusive content that will become collector's items once the open beta phase for Ground Forces starts on its online store. All of the packs will also grant access to the closed beta, later in December.
