MMA fighter War Machine might be behind bars at the moment after a lengthy police manhunt, but the details of his gruesome attack on his on-again-off-again girlfriend Christy Mack are only now beginning to emerge. On August 8, he beat up Mack so bad that she thought she was going to die. The police now have the details of how events unfolded that night.

Deadspin quoted the official report when it claims that Christy Mack was in bed with Corey Thomas on the night the beating took place. War Machine, real name Jon Koppenhaver, entered her house using the copy of her keys. What followed was a scene of unimaginable violence.

At first, War Machine turned his anger on Thomas, whom he punched approximately 15 times in the face, as Christy begged him to stop. Then Koppenhaver told Thomas to leave and not report this to the police. “Koppenhaver told Thomas to leave and told Thomas that he would kill him if he reported this and Koppenhaver went to jail,” claims the police report.

It goes on to reveal that “Koppenhaver said he would give his friends all of Thomas’s information and his friends would find Thomas and kill him if anything happened to Koppenhaver.”

Then Koppenhaver turned his attention to Christy and he kicked and punched her so many times that she lost consciousness. It wasn't long before he took her to the shower and began kicking her in the ribs. He took out her phone and began scrolling her social media feeds.

Whenever he would come onto a post he didn't like, he would punch her. Then he shouted something in the lines of “That's my [expletive] and I'm gonna take it back now,” referring to Christy's genitals. He then tried to rape her, but when he couldn't perform he just became angrier.

What saved Christy was the fact that War Machine let her in the bathroom to go to the kitchen in search of a bigger knife. It was at that point that she was able to make her escape.

War Machine was later arrested on Friday in Simi Valley, California and now faces charges from Clark County prosecutors for a number of counts, such as assault with a deadly weapon, coercion, open or gross lewdness and no fewer than four counts of battery.

Right now, War Machine is being held in the Ventura County's main jail facility without bond and is awaiting trial.
