Android 5.0 Lollipop was launched two months ago, but since then it hasn’t landed on a lot of tablets.

The Nexus 9 and Nokia N1 ship with it out of the box and the NVIDIA Shield Tablet received the update not so long ago, but apart from that there aren't any other products of the sort around.

Last week, we reported that Nextbook was planning to release the Ares family of budget-friendly tablets, all running Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

Their prices range between $129 / €107 and $249 / €207, but we were told the slates will arrive upon us in May. But if you’d like to get your hands on Lollipop on the cheap sooner rather than later, we have good news for you.

Polaroid is offering cheap Lollipops

The current Lollipop-enhanced slobs aren't exactly cheap, but the good news is that soon you won’t have to pay a lot of money to take advantage of Android’s latest.

While Polaroid is a brand best known for their photo cameras, the company has also been in the business of producing tablet computers.

The latest bunch has been introduced at CES 2015, as two wallet-friendly tablets running Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

The L7 and L10 take advantage of 7-inch and 10-inch displays respectively and are powered by a “super-fast” quad-core processor of unknown origins (we dare hope it’s a Qualcomm one).

Other details are left out, like the resolution, RAM or internal memory capacity the two models bring to the table. Anyway, we can tell you the duo doesn't offer cellular connectivity but does have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Polaroid also mentions there are two cameras onboard, two front-mounted speakers and “extended battery life.”

The best thing about these two tablets is their price. The Polaroid L7 will go on sale $99 / €83 while the L10 can be yours for $149 / €125. Expect to see them in retail this spring.
