High school teacher David Layman from Albuquerque may just be one of the most awesome “Breaking Bad” fans out there, because he’s just taken an entire page in the local newspaper to run an obituary for Walter White, the main character in the series.

On the show’s big finale, Walter White, a former chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with lung cancer and turns to cooking and eventually selling meth to ensure he doesn’t leave his family in debt because of his medical bills, meets his end.

Layman was a fan of the show from the day it premiered in 2007 until the end, and he didn’t miss a single episode. He believed Walter White (and not his drug-lord persona Heisenberg) deserved to be remembered, so he made sure that happened.

Yes, Walter White did bad things but fans who went on the amazing “Breaking Bad” journey with him can still make a difference in the world.

“In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a drug abuse prevention charity of your choice. [Walter White] will be greatly missed,” the obituary reads.

And this is precisely why Layman’s gesture is amazing.
