The development team at Telltale Games announces that it is offering a Collector’s Edition package for the upcoming Walking Dead retail launch, which will include a comic book compendium with issues 1 to 48 of the series on which the game is based.
Charlie Adlard has been enlisted to offer an entirely new alternate cover for the compendium and Robert Kirkman assures all fans that this is the definitive edition of the comic book at the moment.
The Walking Dead started life as an episodic game concept, with one piece of the first season launched each month, and the success of the game has persuaded the developers to also put together a retail package.
The series acts as a prequel to the comic book and the AMC-based television series and uses some of the characters that fans known well.
A second season of the Walking Dead video games will be launched during 2013.
