Only yesterday, Walgreens made it public news that a new brand of green-oriented and healthy home products was to be made available to people in the US.

Apparently, the Ology brand is both affordable and free of any harmful chemical compounds that could end up harming both consumers and the environment.

According to the company's official website, this new line is to encompass various products intended for baby and personal care, as well as environmentally-friendly household cleaners.

Gigi Lee Chang, the CEO of Healthy Child Healthy World, commented on the launching of this new line of products as follows: “Until the US adopts better regulations around product safety – like we do in other countries – parents are left to bear the burden of protecting their children’s health by educating themselves and making conscious purchases.”

However, “With the help of Walgreens Ology products, concerned consumers now have easier access to affordable and safer solutions.”

Walgreens representatives wished to draw attention to the fact that, being the nation's largest drugstore, the company had the responsibility of making sure its products improved on their customers’ quality of life and also lend a helping hand to environmental protection.

Besides green-oriented personal care products and household cleaners, Walgreens will also sell CFL (Compact Fluorescent Light) bulbs and tree-free paper products such as tissues, paper towels, copy paper and toilet paper, all of which are made from sugar cane husk and bamboo.

“Ology reflects our dedication to innovation, our constant drive to improve our customers’ quality of life, and our ongoing commitment to help people get, stay and live well,” Joe Magnacca, president of daily living products and solutions for Walgreens said.

Apparently, these green-oriented products will be made available nationwide during the first few days of November.

Besides being sold in stores, they will also be made available online.
