While Microsoft is trying to clear out Surface RT inventories to get ready for the second-generation tablet, Wal-Mart has just started selling the device across the United States.
WPCentral reports that both the Surface RT and the Pro tablets can now be found at Wal-Mart, with pricing starting at $349 for the RT version with 32 GB of storage space (no Touch Cover included). The Pro model costs $899 for the 64 GB unit.
It appears that stocks are limited, so in case you want to buy a Surface tablet from Wal-Mart, you’ll most likely have to hurry up a little bit until they get sold out.
As far as the second-generation is concerned, CEO Steve Ballmer has reportedly confirmed the development in an internal meeting, with hardware upgrades very likely to be part of the launch.
