A Steak 'N Shake waitress in Indianapolis has received the biggest tip in her life from a loyal customer.

WTHR reports that CeCe Bruce, a server who is also paying for her college education at Martin University in Indianapolis, has received a staggering $446 (€342) tip on a $5.97 (€4.6) order.

Bruce has worked at the diner for the last two years, plenty of time to get acquainted with her benefactor, a regular who chose to be referred to as Miss Jo.

"She's a really sweet lady and she didn't want any gracious gratitude. She signed the receipt and walked out the door," CeCe describes.

The waitress was compensated for keeping an upbeat and polite attitude while dealing with issues with a client at a separate table.
