Wacky Wheels Cheats, Hints and Glitches (PC)

Wacky Wheels is an MS-DOS arcade kart racing video game released by Apogee Software in 1994, with the emphasis on fun over realism both in looks and gameplay. It strongly resembles Super Mario Kart from Super Nintendo, but the karts are described as lawn mowers and the eight playable characters are animals from a zoo.

While racing, players can collect hedgehogs, bombs and other objects which can be used to shoot or distract opponents. The game features both single and multiplayer play, with split-screen, modem, or direct serial link. In multiplayer mode, two people can either race against each other or battle in special arenas where the sole purpose is to hit the opponent a certain number of times with hedgehogs. This last gaming mode, called Wacky shoot-out, is similar to the classic deathmatch mode from first-person shooter games or the Battle Mode of Super Mario Kart.

CHEATS

Start the game with one of the following command line parameters to activate the corresponding cheat function.

99 fire -fire

Press Brake and Accelerate to jump -jump
Press Brake and Fire for turbo -turbo
Create err.log file /debug
Double speed /2
Triple speed /3

GAMEPLAY HINTS

Turbo
Start a race in two player head-to-head com-bat mode. Hold Fire + Brake to get a turbo boost.

Ice cube
Start a race in single player mode. Hold Fire until you get an ice cube which can be shot at other players to stall them out.

GLITCHES

Character and level select
Begin gameplay, select any character. Select "Amateur" level, a six lap race, any engine, and start the "Bronze Wheels" race. Quit and save the game after the race begins. Allow the demonstration mode to start. Stop the demo when the desired character or race is displayed. Restore the game that was saved to resume with that character and race.
