They're going out of their way to help the cyber community and all I can say is "way to go!". WS Labi has decided that what they're already doing is not enough and that they want to help even more. Some people will call you a nitwit if you don't know who these guys are, but since not everyone is keen on hacking, I'm going to tell you a little something about them. You know eBay, don't you? Well, Wslabi is the same thing, only the stuff sold differs. If you can get clothes, cars or similar thing from eBay, these guys deal with something a lot different. They don't sell products, but discoveries - any researcher or hacker that discloses a 0-day vulnerability in a certain program can sell his or her disclosure online to the highest bidder. Some say that this site is promoting evil hacking and pilfering (in case one would buy off the flaw discovery and sell it to the company for 10 times the price) but they're actually making sure that the people that make these discoveries get paid for their work.

In any case, as I've seen on PCWorld, WabiSabi Labi representative Roberto Praetoni stated in an interview that they're signing an agreement with a hardware producer and they're building an intrusion detection system device based on zero-day signatures. As you might have figured out they need a lot of material to power this and it's not going to be ready tomorrow, but the fact that they're on it is really good news, considering how dangerous the cyber-space has become in these late years.

There is not even estimative news of when their project will be ready, but they've also said they're going to ally themselves with a very well-known security research company, but didn't say which. I can hardly wait to see their project done - initiatives like this just might make a real difference!
