Publisher 2K Sports confirmed that the upcoming wrestling video game WWE 2K15 will run at 1080p resolution on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 home consoles.

The next installment in the popular sports franchise will deliver a truly stunning experience, with proper new-generation visuals at 1080p. The announcement was made by 2K Sports via Twitter, showing that the dev team is taking extra care to make the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the title as compelling as possible.

Considering the mounting number of video games that fail to reach the coveted golden numbers on the PlayStation 4 and, more frequently, on the Xbox One, wrestling fans will no doubt be pleased to find out that the WWE series will manage to land 1080p on arrival.

The biggest wrestling experience yet

But the good news doesn't stop here, as developers Yuke's and Visual Concept are determined to offer the most captivating and exciting wrestling experience yet, with countless gameplay improvements over last year's entry.

In addition to this, the revolutionary facial and body scanning technology utilized by the developers will offer the most accurate renditions of the athletes yet, making the WWE Superstars and Divas come to life on gamers' screens.

The new motion capture technology will deliver smoother animations, allegedly five times more than in the previous installment in the WWE series, and some ground-breaking updates to the actual wrestling system will ensure that fans of the sport will get the experience they have been waiting for all along.

WWE 2K15 comes with a proper MyCareer mode

Probably the most exciting feature of the game, the revamped MyCareer mode found in the upcoming video game will be similar to the one in 2K's basketball titles, taking players all the way from struggling but talented prospects to the very top of the Heavyweight Championship.

Gamers will be engaged in shaping the careers of their custom wrestlers, complete with the depth and drama of the actual sport, with players actively seeking to land sponsorship deals and forging epic rivalries with real-life superstars.

WWE 2K15 is coming out on October 29 in North America and October 31 in Europe, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. Owners of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One home consoles will have to wait until November 18 in North America and November 21 in Europe.

WWE 2K15 will reportedly also benefit from a worldwide launch on PC, but for the time being 2K has not confirmed the rumor and has not yet set a release date. In any case, such a move makes sense, since WWE 2K15 is a truly massive entry in the series and will also be the first big WWE game to hit the PC in more than 10 years.
