As if Apple were somehow putting some new product on sale at Moscone West, lines are already starting to form at the company’s favorite San Francisco venue for ceremonious unveilings.

The queue is formed of Apple developers, tech aficionados, and regular Joes and Janes who were lucky enough to snag a ticket to watch Tim Cook & Co. unveil the next-generation of Macs, iOS 6, OS X Mountain Lion, and more. Journalists needn’t stand in line.

As every year goes, Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference will kick off with a keynote address by Apple’s CEO. After that, there will be a session for all developers behind closed doors. Not even the press will be allowed to attend this one.

The Apple Design Awards will be announced today, but not towards the end of the conference, as they did in previous years. The image above has been shot by Glasshouse Apps (highlighted by Cult of Mac).
