In about two months from now, Apple will be welcoming a sea of developers at its annual WWDC conference, where it will discuss code on a number of levels.
One of the six featured tracks at WWDC 2013, Tools, will focus on Xcode and the various sub-tools included within.
Apple strongly believes that “Xcode provides everything you need to create great applications for Mac, iPhone, and iPad.” The company wants WWDC attendees to:
- drill down into Apple’s next-generation compiler technology; - understand performance and resource analysis with Instruments; - learn how to integrate source control and unit testing into your everyday workflow; - discover how to easily build modern interfaces using Interface Builder.
Apple also mentions Xcode IDE, a unified interface which transitions from composing source code, to debugging, and even to designing a user interface.
WWDC 2013 will take place June 10-14 at San Francisco’s Moscone West. Apple is expected to introduce iOS 7 and the next major release of its Mac operating system at the event.
