A quick glance over the Moscone Center's summer schedule shows that, between June 28th and July 2nd, Apple is likely to host its Worldwide Developers Conference, an event that attracts la creme de la creme of developers worldwide, as well as all major tech publications and papers.

The people at 9to5Mac point out that a “Corporate Event” listed in the middle of the Moscone Center’s summer schedule is a sign that Apple is planning to host its development-focused conference between Monday, June 28th and Friday, July 2nd.

“It is a bit early to be calling this one, but it looks pretty likely that this year's WWDC will be held on from Monday, June 28 to Friday, July 2, 2010 [...] Moscone Center's summer schedule has a ‘Corporate Event’ scheduled for those dates. Apple has used this un-named moniker in the past to reserve their dates at the convention center,” the analysis goes. The site thanks MacRumors forum user bbtrinet for the heads up.

This year, 1,000 Apple engineers hosted WWDC through June 8 - June 12. As Apple described the event earlier this year, “The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is the premier technical event for developers and IT professionals innovating with Apple platforms.”

“Over 1,000 Apple engineers will be at Moscone West to present the latest Apple technologies and provide you with code-level guidance. You’ll learn how to harness the power of iPhone OS, Mac OS X Snow Leopard, and Mac OS X Server Snow Leopard in the most efficient and sophisticated way possible – saving you time and accelerating your development. Bring your MacBook and your imagination, and prepare to make your ideas happen,” the post reads.

At the event, Apple introduced the final, polished version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard, the latest incarnation of the Mac OS available on the market today. The event is usually marked by iPhone OS announcements, as well as new iPhone models, although this year, people are expecting more than just an improved phone – they want to see the Apple tablet.
