Car racing games fans rejoice, as the World Rally Championship series is finally getting another game, which is expected to arrive this falls.

World Rally Championship (WRC) 5 has just been announced by publisher Bigben Interactive. It's the same company that launched the previous version of WRC back in October 2013.

However, this time it looks like Bigben Interactive has decided to work with another team. The studio that will handle the development of WRC 5 is called Kylotonn Games. Some of you might remember Kylotonn for its work on titles like Bet on Soldier or Speedball 2 Tournament and The Cursed Crusade.

“It’s exciting to help Kylotonn to make the best WRC game ever seen. Combining my driver and gamer experience with their technical point of view is something interesting when you are trying to do the most realistic game possible,” says Sebastien Chardonnet.

The only details revealed on WRC 5 are the fact that it will feature new stages, new game modes and 2015-season car liveries. The level of realism will be enhanced in WRC 5 considerably, especially because it will benefit from the input of 2013 WRC3 champion Sebastien Chardonnet.

New stages and game mode will be included in WRC 5

In fact, Bigben Interactive has announced that champion Sebastien Chardonnet will be WRC 5's ambassador. He unveiled a special WRC 5 car livery at the season launch event in Monte Carlo.

“Our team of racing enthusiasts is developing new technical tools to offer a true rally simulator from scratch,” explains Alain Jarniou, game director at Kylotonn Games.

No other information on the game has been disclosed, but publisher Bigben Interactive has promised that additional details will be available in the not-so-distant future.

The good news is that they have already released a launch trailer that may show some in-game footage. Check out the video below and tell us what you think in the comments section.
