Its flexible stand makes it well suited for professional use

We can definitely say that the latest LCD display that Acer has released is not the sort of thing that you should get if you plan to play games on your computer. Mostly because it's not exactly fast enough.

The newcomer bears the name of Acer B326HUL and would, on the surface, look like the ideal gaming monitor.

After all, it has a diagonal of 32 inches and a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD). It could, in theory, allow for some really large multi-monitor setups, and do well on its own as well.

Running solo would work best for it though, since even at 4K game quality, a multi-display configuration won't be able to use the resolution fully.

The 16:9 aspect ratio is another point in the screen's favor, as is the LED backlighting and brightness of 300 nits.

However, it becomes clear that, as Acer says, the newcomer is better suited for businessmen when you find out the response time: 6 ms.

5 ms is considered normal, more or less, but it's still slow for gaming monitors, especially if you play first-person shooters. That's why gaming-grade monitors go with 3ms, 2 ms and sometimes even 1 ms.

Another piece of evidence that the newcomer isn't intended for gamers is that the 2560 x 1440 resolution is really a better fit for video editing and graphics design instead of gaming.

Moreover, the resolution combined with the size of the panel makes reading spreadsheets easier, while the 178-degree viewing angles allow for multiple people to look at it at the same time, like if your co-workers come over to your office or the main meeting room to coordinate.

On the other hand, the viewing angles and, more importantly, the 100,000,000:1 maximum dynamic contrast ratio will allow for a nice movie night.

Especially when you factor in the flexible stand, which can tilt 25 degrees up to -5 degrees down. 60-degree swivel is supported as well, and height adjustment is included for up to 150 mm too.

Nevertheless, what ultimately cements the Acer B326HUL as a professional monitor is the 6-axis color adjustment, which is something that normal consumers rarely, if ever, bother with (although, admittedly, the Acer eColor Management makes things easier than they otherwise would be). 100% coverage of the sRGB color spectrum is another point.

Finally, the Acer B326HUL 32-inch monitor is compliant with “all of EPEAT's required criteria and at least 75 percent of EPEAT's optional criteria,” in addition to bearing ENERGY STAR and TCO 6.0 ratings. All for the price of $899 / €650.
