Rumors on the upcoming Samsung smartphones powered by Windows Phone 8 operating system continue to pour and the new details that surfaced are extremely interesting.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any confirmation for these rumors, which is why we should take the info with a grain of salt.

Samsung has already launched three Windows Phone devices in the Omnia series, the Omnia 7, Omnia M and Omnia W, which are currently available for purchase. The WP7-based Focus and Focus S are also part of Samsung’s Windows Phone portfolio.

The next devices launched by Samsung will be powered Windows Phone 8 and will be part of the Omnia family, the folks over at SamMobile claim.

According to them, the recently rumored Samsung Odyssey will be released as Samsung GT-I8750 Omnia (?), while the Samsung Marco will be launched as GT-I8370 Omnia (?).

Although both smartphones will be powered by Windows Phone 8, they are positioned in different price categories. It appears that the Samsung Odyssey is a high-end device, so it has been priced at around 500 – 600 EUR (615 – 740 USD) outright.

On the other hand, Samsung Marco is just a mid-range device, which is expected to go on sale for a suggested retail price of 350 – 450 EUR (430 – 555 USD).

SamMobile’s tipster also revealed some of the phones’ specs, along with an approximate release date for the handsets. In this regard, Samsung Odyssey and Marco are expected to hit shelves in Europe in Q4 2012.

The Samsung Odyssey will be launched with a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display and an 8-megapixel rear camera. In addition, the phone will boast an 8-megapixel rear camera and a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz.

Samsung Marco is rumored to sport a 4.0-inch WVGA Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel main camera and the same 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor.
