After last weekend's staggering round of promos on smartphones, when it sold $500 devices for only 0.01$, Amazon now teases its customers with another “unbreakable” offer: Samsung Focus for only $49.99 with a two-year contract from AT&T.

Samsung Focus is one of the hottest Windows Phone 7 smartphones, as the device was sold out at Amazon on day one.

According to polls, Samsung Focus is currently the most desired Windows Phone 7 device, as most of the people that got a WM7 phone chose the Samsung Focus over other brands.

Even though the phone can be bought for only $49.99 from Amazon, customers have to choose one of the three contract options offered by AT&T: AT&T Nation 450 Rollover Minutes for $39.99, AT&T Nation 900 Rollover Minutes for $59.99 or AT&T Nation Unlimited for $69.99.

Samsung Focus is currently one of thinnest and lightest smartphones in the US, as it measures 124.7 x 64.3 x 9.9 mm and weighs 119.4 (battery included).

The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1 GHz processor and runs on Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform. It comes with a 4.0-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

Other key features of the Focus include: HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, GPS with A-GPS support, 8GB storage, 512 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The phone packs a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, image stabilization, smile detection and camcorder (720p@25fps).

For those that still don't believe that the price of the smartphone is more than convenient, AT&T stated that the device should be sold for at least four times Amazon's price, namely $199 with two-year contract.
