"We had it coming"

Blizzard Entertainment is taking extreme measures against cheaters as they have decided to ban a whole World of Warcraft guild. The guild in question is called Overrated and they presumably were one of the best WoW guilds out there.

According GameSpot, Overrated used some kind of cheat that knocked down walls, when playing in the more advanced levels of World of Warcraft. The guild had been playing the level Temple of Ahn'Qiraj, long version for AQ40. This level featured a circular manner of progress from the first to the last boss.

To be more specific, Overrated used a cheat to pass "C'thun trash", namely bosses who dropped less lucrative items, according to GameSpot. This cheat allowed the guild members to go straight to the final boss of the level, C'thun, boss that offered much more items once they defeated him.

A member of the Overrated guild, Pantaloons, was the only one who commented on this issue on WOW forums, declaring that they had it coming, but emphasized the fact that they are the only US Horde guild that clears the most challenging area of the game, namely Naxx.

No matter what goes wrong with WoW it still remains the most popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game ever, as it has recently reached 6 million subscribers.
