Tell WMware how its solution made you switch to Mac

VMware claims that thousands of people have switched to Mac thanks to its stable and powerful Windows-on-their-Mac solution, VMware Fusion. The company asks, "Are you a proud switcher?" If you are, all you need to do to fulfill your dream of owning (what else) the world's 'thinnest' notebook out there, the elusive MacBook Air, is make a video about how VMWare Fusion has determined you to embrace Macs.

The first thing you'll need to do to get started with your "My Switch to VMware Fusion" video is not find a good camera but read the instructions PDF provided by Vmware. When they're done, contestants must hit up Vmware's web site again and enter their information in the provided form. Click here to download the (PDF) rules and instructions for the contest.

The goal of this contest is to help our users share outwardly the success they've gained by switching to VMware Fusion, Vmware claims, adding that the contest is inspired in part by Apple's original "Switch" series back in the day, "but in a more organic fashion." The company proudly states, "We want our awesome users to be able to share with others why they switched and help us spread the word about VMware Fusion at the same time," but also notes that, in order to qualify for the Team Fusion t-shirt and MacBook Air giveaway, a "good faith" effort to follow the guidelines is required. As such, users are asked to check out the full contents of the upper-mentioned document.

VMware advises that you should keep your video under one minute, as "Microchunks of video do best on YouTube, so be sure to keep it short and sweet!," the company states. Guidelines for how consistent and clear your video should be are also available inside the same instructions (PDF) document.

After the contest ends on May 15, 2008, Wmware will be featuring all of the participants on the "Switch to Fusion" minisite for the world to admire.
