Following the recent visit of Real Madrid soccer club in China, WISeKey has announced an exclusive agreement to distribute the club's mobile content in the country, in the coming season.

WISeKey is a Swiss company that focuses on digital information security, authentication and identity management. With multiple regional subsidiaries around the world, the company offers advanced e-security solutions for public sector organizations, enterprises and consumers.

According to the agreement with Real Madrid C.F, one of the best soccer clubs in the world, WISeKey and Chinese carriers will be distributing and marketing the club's mobile content, covering China and the extended network of Chinese Real Madrid fans.

The deal should be of great success for both parties, as China is a big market for the Real Madrid brand.

The recent announcement somewhat validates WISeKey's new media strategy of deploying famous brands and allowing them to monetize their brand value via the company's ecosystem of users in selected countries with restricted mobile content rights.

WISeKey will help Real Madrid generate extra revenue by distributing official mobile content in China, creating a mobile community of Real Madrid fans who choose to receive Real Madrid’s exclusive mobile content using WISeKey’s world-leading eSecurity technologies.” said Carlos Moreira, founder and CEO WISeKey.

With the new agreement, WISeKey established a strong foothold and leverages its presence in China, which has been recognized as world’s largest mobile communications market.

Real Madrid fans can find in their mobile devices the best photos, videos, news…of the club in nearly every corner of the world thanks to our dynamic licensing model, and now, thanks to WISeKey, we are also entering the Chinese market,” said Pedro Duarte, head of New Media Real Madrid.

In addition, the newly announced project will allow WISekey and Real Madrid to have a substantial penetration on the mobile market in China.
