The Spears-Federline saga may be heading towards an end, if we were to believe the statements made by the lawyers of the two stars (one bigger than the other). A couple of days ago, a rumor began to circulate that out there, somewhere, was a four-hour long video showing Britney and Kevin having almost non-stop sex.
The rumor was somehow made official by the Sultan of Sleaze in person, who revealed that he had been contacted by an unnamed person, presumably Federline, and offered the tape for sale. Hans Schmidt even stated for the record that he would be willing to pay good money for it, to outbid the competition that was already to be seen in 'News of the World' (a news agency that allegedly offered K-Fed $50 million for the tape).
Then, the rumor machine went on to say some things about Britney, who was considering giving the sex tape away for free, so that K-Fed would lose the upper hand he had on her. Either way, the public, always happy of such juicy details, was waiting patiently for someone (anyone!) to release that tape. It would have been a side of the pop singer no one had seen before, a glimpse into her personal life (and more), plus, a couple of people would have made good money out of it.
On Tuesday, Spears and Federline's lawyers made separate public statements infirming the existence of said tape. Talk about bursting one's bubble! Fed-Ex's attorney was very sparse with his words, as he addressed the matter in such a way as to cast no doubt on the rapper's position:
'There is not a sex video of Kevin and Britney in existence. It goes without saying that the stories of Kevin attempting to sell such a video are patently false and anyone who reports that they have information of such attempts is either lying or reporting the lie of someone else.'
Britney's lawyer simply denied the existence of the tape and, immediately after taking his leave announced that the two feuding husbands will reunite again, for the last time, to infirm the rumors.
