Western Digital has launched its latest firmware for the My Net N900 and N900 Central Routers, versions 1.06.28. This package contains all the fixes and resolved issues from previous release versions.

There are two packages, one for each router mentioned above, and they're compatible with all of Microsoft’s operating systems starting from XP to the latest of them, either bit versions.

Since the previous release, WD’s new firmware has resolved the Access Point improperly working issue, as well as the Connection up time incorrectly displaying issue.

Before you begin, bear in mind that interrupting the firmware upgrade process or renaming the firmware file is highly not recommended, so as no damages are made to the device.

So, unzip the downloadable file, login to the router through a web browser, and go to “Advanced Settings” → “Admin” → “Firmware Update.” Afterwards, select “Choose File,” browse to the location of the unzipped file and select it, click “Upload” → “OK” – and there you have it.

When the process is complete, the device will reboot so that the changes can take effect.

That said, follow the link below and choose the one that best suits your router.
