VueScan 9.4.18, an easy-to-use replacement for the software that usually comes with scanners and that supports most flatbed scanners, printer/scanners, and film scanners, has been released and is now available for download and testing.

The VueScan project is under constant development, and fixes, changes, and new features are implemented on a regular basis.

Highlights of VueScan 9.4.18

• The infrared cleaning with two-pass infrared film scanners has been fixed; • The support for Fujitsu document scanners has been added; • The support for new Fujitsu document scanners fi-7160, fi-7180, fi-7260, fi-7280, and ScanSnap iX500EE has been implemented.

VueScan provides support for over 1,000 scanners on the Linux system. Not all of them work with all SCSI/USB/Firewire interfaces, but most combinations are known to function.

A complete backlog of modifications implemented in all the past versions can be found in the official announcement. Download VueScan 9.4.18 right now from Softpedia.
