VueScan 9.4.12, an easy-to-use replacement for the software that usually comes with scanners and that supports most flatbed scanners, printer/scanners, and film scanners, has been released and is now available for download and testing.

The VueScan project is under constant development, and fixes, changes, and new features are implemented on a regular basis.

Highlights of VueScan 9.4.12:

• Support has been added for document feeders; • The “Preview” button is now displayed when “Input | Batch scan” has been set to “Off”; • The “Last Page” button is now displayed when “Input | Batch scan” hasn't been set to “Auto”; • A problems with “Prefs | Exit when done” option has been fixed.

VueScan provides support for over 1,000 scanners on the Linux system. Not all of them work with all SCSI/USB/Firewire interfaces, but most combinations are known to function.

A complete backlog of modifications implemented in all the past versions can be found in the official announcement. Download VueScan 9.4.12 right now from Softpedia.
