VueScan 9.4.01, an easy-to-use replacement for the software that usually comes with scanners and which supports most flatbed scanners, printer/scanners, and film scanners, has been released and is now available for download.

The VueScan project is under constant development, and fixes, changes, and new features are implemented on a regular basis.

Highlights of VueScan 9.4.01:

• A faster and more responsive user interface has been implemented; • The support for multi-page PDF files has been improved; • The “Less,” “More” and “Advanced” buttons can now be used while scanning; • The “Last page” button (no longer needed) has been removed; • The “Prefs | Auto refresh” option (no longer needed) has been removed.

VueScan provides support for over 1,000 scanners on the Linux system. Not all of them work with all SCSI/USB/Firewire interfaces, but most combinations are known to function.

A complete backlog of modifications implemented in all the past versions, can be found in the official announcement. Download VueScan 9.4.01 right now from Softpedia.
