VueScan, an easy-to-use replacement for the software that usually comes with scanner and that supports most flatbed scanners, printer/scanners and film scanners, has reached version 9.1.18.

VueScan 9.1.18 is just another maintenance release, but it does bring some support for a few Nikon and Minolta devices and for a lot of other document feeders.

Highlights of VueScan 9.1.18:

• The support for Nikon and Minolta slide feeders has been improved;
• General support for document feeders has been improved;
• Default “Color | Color balance” has been changed to “Neutral” for reflective scans, for a better end result;
• Support for PIE PrimeFilm 120 Pro film scanner has been added.

A complete backlog of modifications, implemented in all the past versions, can be found in the official changelog.
