14 DAY TRIAL // Sony is set to kick off the 2012 edition of its PSN Gamers’ Choice Awards today, allowing owners of the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Portable consoles to vote for the best downloadable games that appeared throughout last year on the PlayStation Network.
Last year’s PSN Gamers’ Choice awards were quite successful, so the Japanese company wants to allow its customers to choose even more great titles with this year’s edition.
Each category has three nominees and PSN users can vote for their favorites via the PlayStation Store. The special PlayStation Community Award for the best indie game, however, can only be voted for online.
Winners will be announced on March 6 and they’ll immediately receive either a 30% discount, for regular PSN users, or a 50% one, for PlayStation Plus subscribers. All voters will also get special XMB themes, so there’s more than enough incentive to express your choices.
