Vote for Woz on Dancing with the Stars

“Tonight's the night! Apple co-founder Steve 'Woz' Wozniak is set to begin his run on ABC's TV 'reality' program, 'Dancing With The Stars',” MacDailyNews is reporting. As an Apple fan, you are encouraged to go online or use your phone to vote for Woz, but remember that you can vote  ONLY on the night your favs perform.

While judges give a score based on several factors, including technical execution, viewers can vote via phone, text message or online and determine the fate of their favorite contestant. Phone lines, text votes (AT&T customers only, which is convenient for U.S. iPhone users) and online polls will open at the top of each performance show so that viewers can vote for their favorites, according to the aforementioned source. While online voting will remain open until noon (Eastern Daylight Time) the next day, phone and text lines will stay open for 30 minutes after the end of the show.

The schedule for season eight:

• "Dancing with the Stars," two-hour performance show, MONDAYS beginning, MARCH 9 (8:00-10:02 p.m., ET) through MARCH 30;

• "Dancing with the Stars the Results Show," one-hour, TUESDAYS beginning, MARCH 17 (9:00 - 10:02 p.m., ET) through MAY 12;

• "Dancing with the Stars," ninety-minute performance show, MONDAYS, beginning APRIL 6, (8:00-9:32 p.m., ET) through MAY 11;

• "Dancing with the Stars," one-hour performance show, MONDAY, MAY 18 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET);

• Season Finale, TUESDAY, MAY19 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET).

Voting Details:

- Lines open at the beginning of each show for viewers to phone and text vote for their favorite couples and stay open for 30 minutes after the end. The entire U.S. can vote.

- One (or more) couple(s) will be knocked out of the competition each week there is a results show. The couple with the lowest overall score is knocked out of the competition.

- The scoring and format of the show is unique to the series and is not based on a standard dance championship.

- The decision regarding which dances are to be performed by each couple each week rests with the Producers.

- In the "Dancing with the Stars Results Show," which premieres Tuesday, March 17 at 9pm EDT, the couple with the lowest combined score from judges and viewer votes will be eliminated from the competition. That night, the two couples with the lowest combined score from judges and viewer votes will compete in a Dance Off. Their original set of judges’ scores will be tossed out and they will perform the same routine again for a new set of judges’ scores. The new set of scores will be combined with their viewer votes from Monday night and the couple with the lowest combined total will be eliminated

- The scoring is divided evenly between the judges and the viewers at home, ensuring unpredictable outcomes at the end of every show. When the final two couples remain, the ultimate dance-off will determine who wins the trophy.

- Your Internet browser must allow cookies, have Javascript enabled and have the latest version of Flash installed in order to vote. If cookies and Javascript are disabled and Flash is not installed, users will be unable to access the online ballot.
