VoodooPC is an architect of personalized, handcrafted high performance personal computers and today it introduced its brand new 17-inch widescreen notebook PC, the ENVY H:171. The ENVY is just the first of a larger notebook and laptop family that will offer users the latest range of PC technologies, including the Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 processor, dual Nvidia Go 7950 graphics processing units and a
hard disk drive with capacities up to 600GB (using up to three 200GB drives).

This balanced and very powerful platform will deliver high frame rates in the latest and most popular video games and extreme multitasking capabilities for gamers and all other power mobile users. Because of the replaceable video cards and the integrated support for the next generation of Nvidia cards, the ENVY is one of the few upgradeable laptops. "Our customers demand unique machines with incredible performance - the ENVY H:171 notebook PC delivers on all fronts," said Rahul Sood, chief technology officer, VoodooPC, part of the Global Gaming business unit of HP. "We have also packed the ENVY H:171 with the ultimate in PC technology, making it one of the fastest and most powerful 17-inch notebooks on the market". "With one of the fastest NVIDIA notebook GPUs running in NVIDIA SLI mode, the ENVY H:171 is a graphics monster that elevates the visual experience to a higher level of perfection," said Rene Haas, general manager, Notebook GPUs, NVIDIA.

Because of a very powerful processor, the Intel Core 2 Extreme, the ENVY laptop will boast fast response times in games, bringing new level of realism into the gaming experience.
Three 200GB hard disk drives mean that ENVY has plenty of storage room to spare, unlike most laptops and notebooks today. This performance-centered laptop has also integrated support for fully hardware based RAID 0, RAID 1 or RAID 5 in order to be able to sustain very high transfer data rates and low application times.
