When compared with everything else available on the market

Once or twice, you might have found yourself wondering about which was the coolest notebook on the market. If that be the case, you're about to get an answer to that and, surprisingly enough, it has nothing to do with Apple's MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air for that matter. This is actually a notebook that will soon become a cause of envy in every user that doesn't own one. So, if you haven't already figured out what we're talking about, let's cut this short: it's Voodoo's Envy 133.

So, what's so cool about the Envy 133?, you might ask. Well, if the stylish and slim design doesn't impress you, then one of its features might. What would you say of the possibility of opening your browser and being ready to navigate on the Internet in less than 15 seconds? And that, on a notebook that isn't in standby mode, but rather in full shutdown mode. Well, this is what Voodoo's Envy 133 can offer you, meaning the power to boot into a Firefox web page faster than on any other notebook.

This is possible because of the Splashtop function, dubbed by Voodoo as IOS (Instant On OS). Hitting the IOS button will provide every Voodoo Envy with an options bar that includes a browser, music player, photo viewer, Pidgin (for IM) and Skype. Launching the browser application will be done in about 10 seconds, which means you will be ready to browse the Internet in approximately 15 seconds overall.

All of the above-mentioned details have been provided to us by the editors at laptopmag, who had a hands-on experience with a pre-production unit of Voodoo's Envy 133 notebook. According to them, the IOS feature still needs a little work because, at the moment, you can't download files from the Internet to the internal hard-drive, nor can you install plugins for the Firefox browser. The media player can only see certain pre-specified folders on the hard drive and play the content in them. As for Skype, users can't do video calls.

But, even if the IOS isn't at its best version just yet, the notebook is most certainly impressive, offering you alternatives that really matter.
