One of the largest providers of broadband telephony services, Vonage Holdings, has announced the beginning of a campaign whose objective is the distribution of the Motorola VT2442 voice-over-IP gateway.
Motorola VT2442 is built around Texas Instruments'
gateway chipset, TNETV1060 VOIP, which ensures a high quality transmission level. Users can share their Internet broadband connection to access Vonage telephony services, and everything is done with one device.
VT2442 allows the installing of two telephony lines and offers features like: call waiting, call divert and caller ID. Moreover, the device includes a router with four Ethernet ports, which can be used to connect consoles or computers, and an Internet firewall.
For now, users can only place preorders, the VT2442 solution being scheduled for this fall.
