14 DAY TRIAL // In February last year, Victoria’s Secret said they’d never work with Kate Upton because, in more or less words, she was too “cheap” to go with the image of the brand. Today, she’s gracing the cover of US Vogue with the headline “The Hottest Supermodel on Earth.”

Kate Upton shot to fame thanks to a YouTube video but what’s getting her the most attention these days is the fact that, though a model, she’s nothing like you’d expect one to be.
She has curves and, unlike most girls in the industry, she has a bubbling personality that shines through whatever she does. She’s also honest and smart, and incredibly relatable and lovable.
Because of that and of so much more, Vogue US is naming her “The Hottest Supermodel on Earth.”
“What makes the Kate Upton era so unlikely is that the things we love about her – those curves! that personality! – defy what the word model has come to mean, at least on the runway: a seemingly endless procession of lanky, expressionless wraiths,” Vogue writes.
“That is most certainly not Upton’s profile. (Descriptions of her figure tend to involve euphemisms for a single word: breasts.) And yet Upton’s body has sparked debate,” adds the magazine.
After this year’s Sports Illustrated cover (Kate’s second in as many years) came out, the conversation on whether she’s “too fat to model” started all over again online.
She tells Vogue that she’s learned to shut all this out but, on some level, it still gets to her. However, she strives to remember that, at the end of the day, all that matters is her health and happiness.
“You sit there and you’re like ‘Is something wrong with me?’ The things that they’re rejecting are things that I can’t change. I can’t change my bra size. They’re natural! I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can’t change some things,” Kate says.
“I really just live my life. I love my body. It’s what God gave me! I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies, great,” she adds.
