New Vodafone-branded slider

Vodafone UK has recently launched a new mobile phone branded by the giant V itself and named Vodafone VF830. While most of the Vodafone-branded handsets are low-end, cheap phones, this one brings a bit more to the table, as it can surely pas as a mid-end device.

Of course, the VF830 is not actually built by Vodafone, but by one of the carrier's partner manufacturers – usually, Huawei and ZTE are the companies that make handsets for the Vodafone brand.

Coming in a slider form factor, Vodafone VF830 kind of looks like a Nokia or a Samsung phone, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. The features of the handset include: GSM and HSDPA connectivity, Music player, a 2.4 inch TFT display (with a QVGA resolution, presumably), easy access to Google Maps, Facebook and YouTube, plus email. Vodafone VF830 also comes with a 3.2 Megapixel camera, which is not bat at all, although auto focus seems to be missing.

The dimensions of VF830 are not known for the moment, but the slider seems to be pretty small and thin. The internal memory of the phone is also unknown, but users will probably find a microSD card slot somewhere on either side of the device, which should solve any storage space problem that might appear.

The new Vodafone VF830 is said to be on sale as of now, on Pay As You Talk, for the price of 80 GBP (about 102 Euros or 140 USD). The handset is not yet featured on Vodafone's online shop, which leads us to think that it is currently available only through the retail shops from across UK.

Since Vodafone offers mobile services in many other markets besides the UK, the new VF830 might soon appear in several other European countries and even in Asia (India) or Africa.
