HTC One X and One S have already been available for pre-order in the UK for several days now. The Taiwanese handset maker also confirmed it would officially introduce its One series devices in Europe starting this week.

Today, Vodafone UK has come forward with a short statement that officially confirms HTC One X and One S will be available for purchase through its retail channels, in store, online and via telesales, beginning April 5.

According to the carrier, both smartphones will be available for free on select plans. While the HTC One X can be grabbed for free on a £41 per month, 24-month plan, the HTC One S will be free on a £36 per month, 24-month plan.

Although both devices are powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC Sense UI, the One X is the company’s new Android flagship smartphone and the first manufactured by HTC to be equipped with a quad-core processor.

HTC One S is equipped with a slightly less powerful 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Krait processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 225 GPU (graphics processing unit) and 1GB of RAM.

Neither of them features microSD card slot for memory expansion, but HTC and Dropbox have teamed up to offer One X and One S owners no less than 25 GB free cloud-storage space.

The One X also sports a stunning 4.7-inch Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution, whereas the One S features a slightly smaller 4.3-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen.

Both displays feature Corning Gorilla Glass coating for extra protection against scratches and scrapes.

It is also worth mentioning that each handset boasts an 8-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, full HD (1080p) video recording and HTC’s ImageSense technology.
