Puts Vodafone 360 on HTC Legend

Wireless carrier Vodafone UK has removed the HTC Magic from its lineup, a move seen as intriguing when compared to what other carriers around the world are planning. While the UK operator has stopped selling the second Android mobile phone in the world, T-Mobile in the US and Rogers in Canada are heavily advertising it, showing that it still has potential.

“Unfortunately the HTC Magic is now end of life, and we don't have stock of that phone,” a Vodafone representative stated recently, androidcentral reports. In contrast, T-Mobile USA has launched a myTouch 3G 1.2 not too long ago, and is still advertising the device, while Rogers Canada offers its users the possibility to upgrade for free from HTC Dream to Magic. Not to mention that the carrier also announced plans to deliver the Android 2.1 update to all owners of a Magic on its airwaves.

On the other hand, most of you might already know that Vodafone is getting ready to release new Android-based devices from HTC, namely the Desire and Legend, and it probably discontinued sales of Magic in preparation for these launches. Not to mention that Vodafone's users will also be able to purchase the Nexus One from Google and enjoy connectivity from the carrier.

HTC Desire and Legend were announced officially during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and both of them come with Google's Android 2.1 operating system on board. Vodafone is said to be carrying both of them, and it seems that it will include some additional features with the Legend, namely its Vodafone 360 services.

These cloud services from the wireless carrier were introduced for the first time on a series of dumb phones, after which they were expanded to desktop and other devices, and it seems that Vodafone is set to make them available for Android users too. Those who like Vodafone 360 and are also Android fans will soon be able to enjoy both of them on the same device, it seems.
