14 DAY TRIAL // Vodafone UK is the third wireless carrier in the country to officially announce monthly plans and pricing for the new Apple iPhone 4. Although the company's move in this direction was unveiled a few days ago, it was only today when the carrier made official the actual cost of having an iPhone 4 on its airwaves.
UK mobile phone users interested in purchasing an iPhone 4 from Vodafone UK should know that they can have it on monthly plans that start at £25 on a contract length of 24 months, or on plans that start at £30 with a length of 18 months. Both the iPhone 4 32GB and the iPhone 4 16GB models are available on this plan. The highest plan Vodafone UK has put in place for iPhone enthusiasts is £60 / £65 per month, on agreements signed for 24 or 18 months, respectively.
As for the actual cost of the device, the iPhone 4 32GB model is available with price tags starting at £59 on the highest monthly plans mentioned above, and going all the way up to £309 on the £25 and £30 monthly plans. The iPhone 4 16GB model is available for free on the £60 and £65 per month plans, and its price rises up to £219 on the cheapest plans. The iPhone 3GS 8GB is also listed at the carrier, available on the same plans, with a price tag of £119 on the cheapest plans, and going free with plans that start at £35 and £40 per month, depending on the contract length.
As with the other wireless carrier in the UK that unveiled plans for the iPhone 4, including Orange and O2, Vodafone's offering puts together a mix of monthly minutes, texts, Internet on the phone, and Wi-Fi connectivity. 1GB of mobile Internet & webmail” is available with any of the aforementioned plans, the operator notes. Tethering can also be added into the equation, it seems, priced as follows: £5 for 500MB, £10 for 1.5GB, £15 for 3GB.
