Wireless carrier Vodafone announced not too long ago that it would soon launch a new handset, the Samsung 360 H1, and now the carrier has made the mobile phone available for pre-order, and will have it on the shelves starting with October 30. The Samsung 360 H1, as many of you might already know, will come for free on a 24-month contract agreement and a £35 per month plan.

The new Samsung 360 H1 has been specifically tailored for Vodafone and its newly announced Vodafone 360 web portal proposition. The service is meant to sync all contacts from a user's phone, Facebook, Windows Live Messenger and Google Talk, and is also expected to come with Twitter integration in the near future. Moreover, all the phone content is automatically backed up into the cloud.

As for the capabilities of the new Samsung 360 H1, we can count a touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel photo snapper, a 3D display showing users' contact list in a gallery-style card stack, Wi-Fi connectivity, built-in GPS receiver, 16 GB of available memory that users can benefit from, as well as a wide range of other capabilities and features.

In addition to making the new handset available for pre-order, Vodafone also announced the launch of a new website that should help parents understand and support their children in their online activities. According to the carrier, the new website is aimed at actively involving parents in the digital world of their children by understanding the way they make use of mobile phones and social networking websites. Vodafone global head of standards content Annie Mullins commented: “Many parents tell us that they are baffled by what their children are doing be it on their mobile, on Facebook or via their iPhones. They say it's hard to keep up with the pace of change. Their desire is to get simple, clear information on everyday matters, such as knowing what age a child should be given a mobile or setting the rules for using Facebook, and very practical advice about what to do.”
