Vodafone has closed a three-year agreement for sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League. Based on this contract, Vodafone is not only an Official Partner, but also the Official Mobile Network of the UEFA Champions
League.

Prior to UEFA Champions League, Vodafone sponsored Manchester United football club. "We are pleased that we have taken our co-operation to a new level and that Vodafone is now sponsoring the world's largest and most prestigious club competition which Czech football teams will have a chance to enter in the future," says Vladan Crha, Vodafone's Director of Corporate Communications.

In connection with the UEFA Champions League, Vodafone Czech Republic is also preparing a special football-related site for its Vodafone live! portal. Customers will be able to download match highlights and find information about the results as well as access the most recent pictures and video clips. The Champions League site on Vodafone live! will also feature on-line broadcasting and on-demand delivery of the MMS and SMS Champion's League magazine.

Vodafone customers can also look forward to a contest through which they can win tickets to selected UEFA Champions League matches.
