Vodafone Smart II Tate Edition Coming to the UK for 70 GBP (110 USD or 90 EUR)

Vodafone UK has just released a new limited edition Vodafone Smart II handset, which will be available for purchase for only 70 GBP (110 USD or 90 EUR) on PAYG (pay as you go), beginning August 16.

Young student Gaby Sahhar, winner of a competition run by Vodafone and Tate art galleries, is the artist who designed this limited edition Vodafone Smart II.

Customers who purchase the smartphone will also receive a coupon for a 2-for-1 deal at the Tate Modern and Tate Britain art galleries, which is available through January 2013.

Vodafone Smart II Tate Edition comes with a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display, an 800 MHz single-core processor and a 3.2-megapixel rear photo snapper.

The phone is powered by Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and packs 1GB of ROM, 512MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
