Australian wireless carrier Vodafone is getting ready to deliver new software updates for a series of Android-based devices on its network.

Among them, we can count the Samsung GALAXY Note and the Sony Xperia S, both of which are slated for an OS upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The carrier has just posted on its blog that it aimed at beginning the testing of these updates shortly, which means that users might receive them in the not too distant future as well.

Additionally, the company confirmed the upcoming availability of two other software updates, one for Galaxy S III, and another for the HTC EVO 3D. Both updates will enter carrier testing soon.

Galaxy S III will taste a maintenance update (which began rolling out to unlocked phones yesterday), while EVO 3D is bound to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich platform update too.
