Owners of an Xperia S smartphone on the network of Vodafone Australia should all have access to the latest operating system update available for their devices, namely Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The carrier has announced in a blog post that the roll-out of the upgrade has been completed, and that users can now take advantage of the enhancements included in the new software.

“Sony have advised that roll out of the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich platform upgrade for Xperia S handsets sold by Vodafone in Australia is now complete. The update should now be available for all users to install,” the operator announced.

The update was made available on September 24th via the Sony PC Companion, meaning that users need to connect their handsets to a computer in order to install it.
