Google has already started to push out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform upgrade for the GSM flavor of Galaxy Nexus, and carriers around the world are getting ready to receive it.

In fact, Vodafone Australia has just announced that Samsung is currently preparing the update not only for the Galaxy Nexus, but for the older Nexus S as well.

“I was going to wait for the Weekly Wrap but as you asked, Samsung are preparing Nexus S and GNexus 4.1 builds for us now,” a recent tweet from the carrier reads.

This comes as great news for Vodafone’s customers, especially since other carriers in the country are currently preparing the Android 4.0.4 update for Galaxy Nexus, Ausdroid reports.

No specific info on when the update will be ready to hit devices was made available, but chances are that it won’t take too long.
