According to the latest Vodafone Australia software update roadmap, Motorola XOOM 3G owners will receive the long-awaited Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade on July 30.

The update will probably be pushed in stages, so not all XOOM 3G owners will get it at the same time, but it should not take more than a few days for Motorola to roll out the upgrade to all devices.

The carrier already confirmed the update has be approved by its engineers and that it is now awaiting for Motorola to start the delivery of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade on July 30.

On a side note, Optus is also expected to release the same update for the Motorola XOOM 3G, though the carrier only mentions it will be available in late July. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
