It’s not uncommon for one celebrity to interview another for a magazine piece. However, when the current Prime Minister of Russia sat down with fiery-tempered supermodel Naomi Campbell for GQ UK

, they mostly talked fitness.

Because Naomi is a model, it’s only understandable that she take plenty of interest in what other people do to stay in shape – particularly if those people are Putin, whose shirtless photo of a while back literally burned holes in the Internet.

So this explains why her first question is how he manages to stay in such good shape and how often he works out.

Always the skilled politician, Putin first tries to dodge the question by saying that he stays in shape “probably the same way” as Naomi does, which triggers a response from her that enables him not to answer the question at all.

“Actually, I don’t work out as much as I should, but I do believe that it’s a healthy mind as well as a healthy body that keeps me fit, sound and calm,” the model says.

“Exactly. You just answered your own question,” Putin chimes in.

Though he wouldn’t say it at first, Putin then admits that he does actually work out a lot, even if he probably doesn’t consider all those activities as “working out.”

“I go to the gym, I swim daily and from time to time I meet with friends and do extra-curricular stuff. I had a good work-out just the day before yesterday,” he reveals.

Asked whether he’s also into participating in bare-knuckle fights, since he has attended such events in the past, the Russian PM says he’s actually not as tough as to be able to do that.

“No, it’s not my sport; since I was 14, I’ve done judo. But the bare-knuckle fight I attended was very impressive. These guys are tough,” he says.

“I watched the Russian, French and British teams and each and every one of these athletes deserves great credit. There are even women who do it,” Putin notes.
