The world’s first smartphone to boast an incredible quad HD display that supports 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution is about to make its debut in China.

Engadget reports that Vivo has just announced on Sina Weibo that the Xplay 3S is its next Android flagship smartphone for the Chinese market.

The main selling point of the device is the fact that it’s supposed to pack a quad HD (2560x1440) display that features 538ppi (pixel density). Unfortunately, Vivo doesn’t mention the size of the screen, but we can expect it to be larger than 5 inches.

Vivo has also confirmed that Xplay 3S will be equipped with a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 800 processor and will support both TD-LTE and FD-LTE networks. No other details on the phone’s specs have been provided, so stay tuned for more info.
