14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has launched a new survey designed to harvest feedback from developers working with the latest iteration of Visual Studio.
The Visual Studio 2010 International Survey is available not only in English, but also in a range of additional languages.
And in fact it’s only natural for the survey to be tailored specifically to devs in markets around the world, especially given its focus.
Essentially, the Redmond company is looking for developer input on the quality of Visual Studio 2010, focusing on the localized versions of the dev platform.
“In addition to the previously launched Visual Studio 2010 International Survey in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, we have translated the survey into Brazilian Portuguese, Polish and Czech! We wish to reach broader range of audiences with this action,” a member of the Microsoft Global Developer team stated.
The Global Developer team has published a blog post with the links to all the versions of the Visual Studio 2010 International Survey, so that developers can provide feedback in their own language.
The survey offers devs the chance to tell Microsoft whether it needs to improve the quality of future versions of Visual Studio primarily, or if it also has to focus on additional areas, including documentation, localization, support, etc.
A range of questions are to get developers speaking about the localized variants of VS2010 and whether they prefer them to the English version.
The software giant released Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Visual Studio 2010 recently, providing the first upgrade to the solution since the RTM Build hit general availability.
Visual Studio vNext is already cooking in Redmond, and as expected, it will be created with the next version of Windows in mind.
