VistaPerfection 2.0 skin for iPhone unveiled

Apple's iPhone and Microsoft's Windows Vista are not exactly best friends, not from the point of view of their creators and neither from the one of their users. However, those who (for some odd reasons) might want their iPhone's interface to feature a "very Vista" look, have now a perfect opportunity to Vistamize their Apple touchscreen handset.

Coming from a developer who calls himself Spec-Works, the VistaPerfection 2.0 is a skin especially made for the iPhone. As you probably already figured, the skin completely transforms the handset's interface so as to make it look like it would run a "Mobile Vista" OS. The so-called Perfection skin features more than 90 Vista-like icons, including: Wi-Fi icon, sharper and better dock icons, category icons and so on. Furthermore, the skin comes with sliders, badgers, a Vista lock screen wallpaper, status bar and bottom bar, plus Vista sound schemes, so it seems that it's a complete way of turning an iPhone into a Vista runner.

For those who don't hate Vista, this new skin could seem quite nice. For those who do hate Microsoft's latest OS, it definitely won't look so good. In the end, there will be many iPhone users who will want the skin and many others who will want to have never looked at it.

VistaPerfection 2.0 can be downloaded from this address, where you will also find a detailed guideline to how to install it on your iPhone (note that, in order to download the skin you need to register to that forum). The creator of this new "iVista" says he will soon be releasing another version, namely the 3.0, which will probably bring even more Vista-like icons and graphics for the iPhone. We're not sure yet if this is a good or a bad thing but, after all, users will judge for themselves.
