ieXbeta has updated the list of Windows Vista compatibility software as Microsoft's upcoming operating system has reached release candidate 1 stage. The website still offers access to similar lists
involving previous versions of the operating system. Software developers can tap these resources and verify the programs compatible with Windows Vista starting with the Beta 1 listing, through Beta 2 and up to Release Candidate 1.

ieXbeta's software compatibility list is divided according to program classes. Academic, AntiSpyware, AntiVirus, Backups, CD/DVD Authoring are spearheading the list. Additionally, the website comprises software that, at present, has been tested and confirmed with compatibility issues, such as Adobe Photoshop CS2 and AutoDesk Architectural Desktop 2006. Closing the list are software programs with severe functionality problems that are currently completely incompatible, AVG Anti-Virus Free Daemon Tools, Cisco Security Agent and Colin McRae Rally 2005 are among the inoperable tiles.

Moreover, ieXbeta has also published a Windows Vista RC 1 hardware compatibility list. Comparable with the software compatibility list, the hardware devices are also separated into three categories. Fully supported hardware comprises motherboards, graphic cards, imaging devices, sound cards, PCI modems and others.
