Independent Software Vendors are at the top of Microsoft's outreach efforts orbiting around software development for Windows Vista. ISVs that generally create application software
in the detriment of system software and database management systems have come in the focus of Microsoft's Evangelism, as the Redmond Company is increasing its campaign to convince the third-parties software developers to write applications based on Windows Vista operating system. The latest Evangelism campaign from Microsoft is code-named Project Glidepath.

"The release of Windows Vista will create a new wave of demand for applications that MicroISVs supply. We at Microsoft know how many new features and APIs we have added to Windows Vista as well as we understand how challenging it is to start and keep MicroISV businesses running. Project Glidepath is designed to provide the knowledge you, as a MicroISV, need to be successful by providing step-by-step instructions for everything from how to get started with Windows Presentation Foundation to how to write and publish a press release. Please give Project Glidepath a test drive and let us know what you think," reads a Microsoft message.

The Glidepath program will be officially released on July 15 at the Shareware Industry Conference.
